These are a few of my favorite things.

my brother. my camera. and pictures. a few things i can't live without.
i thought i'd give you a little preview of some of my photography work.
these all include my brother, brade, and his adorable girlfriend hannah. i shot these the afternoon of hannah's senior prom. she is my personal attendant, and she already rocks at the role. she's helped me out so much...love them both.

I get by with a little help from my friends...so true.

i adore my fiance, jace. absolutely adore him. he makes me laugh, cry, and overall, he makes me a better person. but, along with him--i also have amazing friends.
my mom, along with jace, is one of my best friends. we've been so close for so long, and she is the first person i call after a bad day. she's amazing, and i can only hope to be like her someday.
she is also my maid of honor. i am thrilled that she will be standing next to me on my big day. some might say it's a little different..but i'm ok with that. if there is anyone i want there for support-it's her.

and then there is the wonderful miranda. such a doll, and so fun to by around. if there was anything good that came out of my college biochemistry class, it was her. we attended dental hygiene school together at north dakota state college of science, where we struggled through the ups and down of the dental world together. she just recently got married, and i had a blast at her wedding. she is funny, and motivated, and such a great friend.

yes, that's her. at her wedding-ready to brush her teeth. typical hygienist.
and then liz-another dental school classmate. i swear i might not have made it through without her and miranda. liz is one of the most fun girls i have ever known. she can make a night of sitting around doing absolutely nothing, far too much fun. and that's what i love about her. she is an absolute thrill to be around and i am sad i don't see her often. she lives in grand forks, nd, along with miranda. they work at the same dental office. i am very, very jealous! :) liz will be getting married in january of 2010 in hawaii---how fun!!

this is liz and her fiance, joe. i have beautiful friends.

jace's sister, tessa, is my 4th, and final bridesmaid. she's a senior in highschool, and has faced alot of up's and downs along the way. i am so proud of her for getting through them with her head held high. she is outgoing, and funny, and is a wonderful mommy to my adorable nephew. we haven't always seen eye to eye, but i'm sure at some point, all girls go through that. she's great, and i'm glad she'll be with us to join in on the fun day!

taken by me..i adore photography and would love to make it a career someday.

well, those are my girls. the one's that get me through some of my days. every girl needs some great girlfriends, don't they? i figured they deserved a post in this little blog, because they will get mentioned alot more in the posts to come...

jace chose his older brother as best man, a friend, and my two younger brother's as groomsmen. i feel so blessed that he chose my family to be a part of his side, it will feel so great to be surrounded by the ones dearest to me.

hope you are having a wonderful week! i am off to minneapolis tomorrow-hopefully the hotel will have some free wi-fi, or i might to crazy!

Wedding Plans..Catch up.

i know I should have started this little blog months ago, but i didn't. so, here we go for a fun game of catch up.

the date is september 19th. our colors are burnt orange, and brown, with accents of deep red and sage green. it's an outdoor, rustic affair. our ceremony will be held under a tree, and our reception is in an old quonset, turned reception hall. {you all must remember, i'm from ND, we don't have much for reception halls-so we make do} it will all fit the rustic theme wonderfully.
the men are wearing dressy jeans, ivory button downs, and brown sweater vests. and my ladies will be wearing a short, babydoll style dress with boots. think hope and adam. just an easy going time. the flowers are ivory hydrangeas, with twiglike accents.
we will be having a guitarist playing backgroud music, as the guests are seated, and will also provide our ceremony music. we are inviting a little over 300 guests. we have one of our readings picked out, but are having a little trouble with the second..any suggestions? we are looking for more of a biblical reading, as our first one, i like you, by sandol staddord warburg, is not. a young friend of ours will be reading this. i can only imagine how adorable it will sound from a seven year olds mouth.
on to the big things-I HAVE MY DRESS!!!! only i cannot post pictures, as i never know when my fiance might lay his eyes on this blog. it's getting altered right now, and i am already going through withdrawals from not getting to look at it.
well. i hope you are a little caught up on the ceremony. that's alot to take in. i will leave you with some pictures to help you out.
enjoy your monday. i hope it flies by. :)
tomorrow-wedding party!!!

my bridesmaids' gowns from victoria's secret-ours are chocolate brown.

picture something like this for our groomsmen. i love it. so simple.

horrible. i know, but i cannot recall where i found this picture. help me out if you know.

i can only dream of walking away with dreamy pictures like these. absolutely breathtaking.

Here I go... Just for you future husband.

so, i'm not sure of the exact day i fell in love with the blog word. perhaps it happened after a few hours of drooling over the wedding of jessica lynn, or maybe the moment i came across taza and her adorable husband. either way, here i am. about to embark on the rather public world of blogging. i've learned alot along the way, whether it be wonderful recipes, amazing wedding tips, or just reading about the lives of people i would love to meet. there is alot of people in this world with a story to tell, and after months of my future husband pushing me forward, i am going to share mine. i'm going to take you up and down on the roller-coaster of wedding planning, and throughout my moments of enjoying this thing called life.

i hope you enjoy. so to get started...

i'm awna jade. i can't wait to get married in september. i clean teeth for a living. i love that i was raised in a small, north dakota town. i believe in treating people the way you want to be treated. my fiance is incredible. i love people who volunteer their time. my brothers rock. i work hard for what i have. my parent's are my best friends, and i'm not enjoying having to cut down my guest list...

...how's that for a start :)
have a happy saturday!

.

..and because i learn from the best-here's a picture with my post!
