Can We?

Isn't this what absolutely everybody is after in life?
Let me fall asleep on your shoulders and make me smile...
I want to share my secrets with you under the covers, and take in your scent after a long day at work.
I want to run into your arms after your plane finally touches down.
I want to drive around with you for hours and talk about life.
So can we?
Forever?
PS...you're cute.

PSS....I am headed to Mexico.
First stopping to see my little brother, take in a baseball game, and then off we go.
Tulum here we come!

Sometimes..

...when I'm taking a nice hot shower, I pretend I'm Taylor Swift.
I let my hair down and I freakin' rock.
...Usually to that catchy little Fearless song.

Until I get out, look in the mirror and realize I'm just Awna.
That's pretty wonderful too.

Lets go back. Now.

Other than a fantastic photography class and the beautiful sunshine in Arizona...
I enjoyed.....

Hiking Camelback.
We didn't exactly make it to the top, but it was lovely no matter how high up you were.
The scenery was amazing, and the trails were filled with happy people, enjoying the outdoors.

Cibo.
One of my new favorite restaurants.
Delicious foods, and an more appealing atmosphere made this a hit of the trip.
We sat outside under an umbrella, and just took it all in.
Amazing.

Dierks Bentley.
When we first found out the days that we would be spending in Phoenix, we looked up their upcoming attractions and saw that he was playing a show in Scottsdale one of the evenings we would be there.
What we didn't realize is that we would be surrounded by 8,000 motorcycle fans.
At the Arizona CycleFest.
We didn't exactly fit in, and we were a little overwhelmed.

BUT...it was such a wonderful time, and an amazing show.
I didn't realize it until halfway through his concert--but I LOVE 99.9% of his songs.
He's sorta a genius when it comes to writing songs, and selecting them for his albums

With that, I hope each and every one of you gets a chance to soak up the Arizona sunshine sometime in the near future.
Such a beautiful, relaxing place..
I hope to visit again soon!

18.95

Love photography?
If you happen to have an extra $18.95, I'd definitely recommend heading to your local Urban Outfitters for this little book.
I've read the same things about photography over and over...
Shutter-speed, F-stops, etc...
But this books makes reading it for the 103958 time kinda fun.
So. Worth. It.
And the pictures are kinda swoon worthy.

Just don't tell them all the truth..

Tell them all I'm on the West Coast..
where it don't rain,
and I'm probably doing fine....

..the Arizona sunshine.

Just a little random info about my weekend.
very random in fact.

The Arizona sunshine makes my heart happy.

The Phoenix Target is way, way cooler than North Dakota's. Yes-like way.
I spent more money their than any other place this weekend, and I go to ours like every other week here.
The clothes rocked my world, and a new swimsuit is always fun.

I got banana conditioner from the Body Shop.
My nose fell in love, so it had to be purchased.
I've used it once. So far, no regrets.
MMMMmmmm.

Random guys who think telling us we are angels from heaven in their eyes have absolutely a zero percent chance
of ending up in anyone's bed that night.
How lame.

I fell in love this weekend.
A lot.

I adore my camera's manual settings now.
It's amazing how a phenomenal teacher can turn your outlook on things for the better.

We drove a red Ford Focus all weekend.
Pretty cool car if you are into the whole slamming your head on the dashboard when you just barely tap on the breaks sorta thing.

I hiked, and I loved it.
Except for the barf I almost sat in on the top of the mountain.
Really people. Can't you aim for the grass off to the side??

I missed my family the whole time.
They got about 390283523 texts.
I hope they still love me.

People in AZ dress wonderfully and are all in great shape.
I might be too if it would 70 degrees all year and I could hike and swim and walk everywhere.

I like the color green.
I just realized that might be my favorite color.
Good-bye black.

I went to a Dierks Bentley concert at the Arizona Bike Festival.
We didn't exactly fit in with no silicone, but he still rocked my ears off.

I realized I like me.
Thank you everyone who has gotten me to this point.
It's much appreciated.

I fell asleep by a pool yesterday.
Yep, an outdoor pool, with my new swimming suit on.
It was a nearly perfect day just due to that alone.

My dream job would be to a pianist at a dueling piano bar.
Talk. About. Fun.

I passed through about 29305820 towns in five minutes this weekend.
I swear Phoenix considers each block a town just so it can be cooler than other areas.
I saw Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Scottsdale, Phoenix...the list goes on.

Tour Chase Field once in your life.

It's my nephews 2nd birthday this week.
I'm a little sad I'm not with J in Mandan right now.

I heart Yodipity.
I got frozen yogurt with a chocolate chip cookie, animal crackers, frozen cookie dough, brownie bites, hot fudge, marshmallow topping, and pieces of snickers in it.
So unhealthy. So good.

I'm happy I'm home.
The end.

Can't wait to show you pictures.

I adore my mom and all..

....But this might be overload.
Love it.

So, that has me wondering...what are your favorite songs of the moment?
Which ones make you smile?
My top three include...
Wonderful World...Jim Brickman
Firefly...Jimmy Needham
Overated...Thriving Ivory
...and since I'm kinda, sorta in love with Mr. Mayer at the moment, I'll include this one too..
Pretty please tell me some of your favorites!
I love hearing new music.

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I'm trying to find that happiness.
It's a little harder than I thought.

Thank God for family and music.
They're getting me by.

Sing me a song....

Dear John Mayer,
I absolutely cannot wait to see you tomorrow evening.
Please sing soft and slow, exactly like you do when I watch you on YouTube.
Sing me a love song-I could use one right now.
I love a good love song, especially when they come from your cute lips.
MMmmm.
See you soon.
XoXo,
Awna

Happy Birthday Brade!!

Happy 20th Birthday to my brother Brade!
I love you so much, and miss you every day.
You are such a sweet, caring, funny guy.
I absolutely cannot wait to see what your life has in store for you, because I know it will be something great.
Thanks for the beautiful camera ring, and for all the thoughtful things you have done for me over the years.
You are a great friend, and an amazing brother.
Wish I could spend your special day with you, but I will look forward to seeing you this weekend!
I love you!

I heart springtime.

I spent a day of my Easter weekend behind my camera.
I had an engagement session in the morning, and met with a friend in the afternoon.

It was wonderful, especially when you have a beautiful model like this one.

The rest of my weekend was spent hanging out with the absolute best family in the world..
..mine.
I'm biased, sorry.
We watched movies, ate lots of great food, and just hung out.
It's my favorite type of weekend!

Hope you had a great Easter weekend as well!!!!
Ps. I used to think fall was my favorite season, I might just change that to spring.
I'm in love with it.

He rocks.

Today I got a package in the mail.
I wasn't sure who it was from as I didn't recognize the return sender
but I ripped it open, as I LOVE getting mail of any sort.

So, remember THIS post?

Well, when I opened the package this is the note I found...
It was from my brother Brade..

...inside was the cutest little ring I've ever seen.

And it was silver.
I was in love.

...with my ring, and my little brother Brade.
How stinkin' thoughtful is he?

Thank you B!
You should have seen me jump up and down when I opened it.
Literally.
