Our little place..

of love.
Some girls dream of a big church. Others dream of little quaint churches.
I dream of a wide open area, one where no other would ever think to get married.
and then, it will be our little place, and only we can have the memory of getting married there.
and here it is. a wide open pasture, underneath two beautiful trees.
It is at the base of a small rolling hill, and tucked behind a little stream.
The bridal party will start at the top of the hill, and work their way around the the back of the guests, before making their way down the aisle. It will be such a beautiful entrance. I cannot wait to make that walk with my dad beside me.

We will have our doors set up before reaching the guests' chairs, giving it an "outdoor church" entrance feel. I can't wait to see it all set up, and decorated.

Under those two trees off to the right is where we will be standing during our ceremony.
This picture above is taken from where the bridal party will begin their walk.

And check out this little beauty. It stands at the top of the hill, over looking our wedding ceremony. Some might call it hideous..I call it art. I cannot wait to take some pictures by that thing!!!
On other news, we are headed back to my hometown tomorrow to finish up some more wedding tasks! We will also be celebrating my parents 25th wedding anniversary! How great, huh?
Have great Thursday!

Can a weekend...

get much better than that?
Taylor Swift is phenomenal in concert. Such a show. If you have the chance, do it. Just go.
You won't be dissappointed.
Loved it.

Happy Birthday...

TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, i cannot believe i turn 22 tomorrow.

i feel like my summer has flown by with all this wedding planning. don't get me wrong--planning a wedding is by far one of the most fun things i've done, but it's time consuming. I am soooo thankful for all the help i've been given. my momma, for the endless phonecalls, emails, driving, shopping, and dreaming. thanks for allowing me to do it all. dad, thanks for making our dreams real. helping with all the little manly things that jace and i can only dream of knowing how to do. brade and mac--for endless modeling of the bridal party wear, and for the laughs along the way. hannah joy-you are wonderful. you give me much more inspiration than you can ever imagine. thanks for all the little texts, comments, and help along the way! Also, thanks for becoming such a trustworthy friend.
and of course jace.
thanks for proposing.
that alone made my dreams start coming true.
this summer would have been a nightmare had i not had anybodies help, but i've been blessed. they've made this summer great, and one i will remember forever.
so, here's to hoping i have some spare moments in my day tomorrow to remember it's my birthday. and to enjoy me-if only for a minute.
here is a little something topping my wishlist. naomi makes it looks way too much fun.
it's an old fashioned camera call a "holga"..it's pictures are beautiful. i'm guessing i'll own one soon, even if i have to buy it for myself! :)
So, happy birthday to me.
thank you mom and dad for making me, raising me, and loving me.
i love who i am, and who i am becoming.

I am not sure...

..but i can almost guarantee that most brides put alot of thought into the type of photos they would like to see come from their wedding day. Of course, my most exciting, and thing i'm looking forward to is finally being married to jace, i can't wait to get my pictures back from my big day. I've got soooo many idea's, and thankfully, i think Tyson Kuznia, at Legacy Fargo, will help us go through with lots of our ideas---!
Here are a few of my favorites!
photo via meganqphotography
..who wouldn't love a couch in the middle of nowhere!
the people who own the reception hall we are using have an old fashioned burnt orange couch for us to use. couldn't be more perfect, especially because at home, jace and i spend alot of our favorite moments bumming on our couch.
check out more photos from this adorable wedding here.
My girls won't be wearing cowboy boots, but i do hope we come away with some great boot shots~!
And, oh how i love vintage ANYTHING. I've rounded up plenty of suitcases for some fun little pictures~!
what were your must haves?

some of my favorite moments in life..

...are spent on the road.

Even if i have to travel 1, 2 or 3 hours too many, there are always many memories to be made.

This past weekend, Jace and I left Montana on Wednesday night, heading to Minnesota for a friend's wedding. Along the way we got to see many friends that we've missed terribly these past few months.
And we also got to spend time with my brother and his girlfriend.
These are my favorite moments. I could listen to my little brother laugh all day. It's a sister's dream to find that her little brother is in love, and loving life. We shared laughter, and pictures, and numerous stories. We ate too much candy, we cracked plenty of jokes, and it was all wonderful. Whether you head around the world, or just to a wedding the next state over, take that little, fun roadtrip with someone close to you. You never know how happy it can make you!

Jace and I are keeping busy doing little wedding things. We are RIGHT NOW currently debating over our guestbook! I want, want, want, a polaroid guestbook, and was given a camera to use for this purpose, but after many hours of research, the cost just seems outrageous. here are our options--
a. use the polaroid 600 film guest book--the cost on the guestbooks alone are $60 and only hold 30 pictures...and the cost of a ten pack of film is $18.00 each.. so coming to using two books, and about eighty pictures, it would cost us around $250, and i am not even sure if that would be enough for our nearly 300 guests... CRAZY.
b. use a blurb book. still cute, and a great use for our engagement photos. around 50 dollars total for this option. the only downfall is the guests don't get to have a little fun doing this---(is it obvious how much i want the instant pictures???)
c. Buy a new Fuji Instax camera...or maybe get it for my birthday this week...)hint hint mom and dad, and jace, and brade, and mac, and anyone...:) ) with that, the film is much more reasonable, being about $19 for 20 pictures. If I did this, i could order another expensive book from here, or try and make my own, using a scrapbook, and just providing double sided tape to stick it to a book, and have the guests write their message near there picture. this still allows me to have our instant pictures, and some fun for guests, but yet leaves me with the work of making my own scrapbook....
Help me out--any of you use an instant film guestbook?

Hoping you have a happy tuesday tomorrow!!!

forgetful.

There are little things you forget in life...

but i cannot believe i forgot to show you my ring!

silly me.
he did such a great job.
and yes, that is the twilight book behind it. i'm infatuated by the whole bella/edward love thing. so wonderful.
I had such a busy weekend. Busy but wonderful. I made another run to my home state.
I spent thursday evening at my aunt and uncles house. they are such wonderful people, i just adore their whole family.
we got up on friday, had an amazing breakfast (my aunt is like the martha stewart of nd-crafty, and a great cook!) and then finished up the last of the invitations.
such a good feeling to have those out of the way!
friday night, i headed out to the local lake for the wedding of an old friend. probably the best wedding that i've ever attended, hands down. so simple, and so fun. he played her a song on his saxophone, as we all overlooked the beautiful lake waters. there was no dance, just a social and reception, and it was perfect.
saturday morning, had breakfast with my family and then my brother, his girlfriend, and my mom headed out to take some pictures. hannah and i are working on starting a photography and design business, so we played around with that this weekend. who knew how much fun you could have with a bunch of junk, and some pretty outfits!
Sunday, i woke up and finished printing out the addresses on our envelopes..
it finally is starting to sink in that this is getting closer and closer...
only 2 months and 7 days....ahhhh!!
hope your weekend was just as fun. :)

adoration.

what do you think...of her hair.

i know it's incredibly hard to not look at her lovely dress, her rocking shoes, her beautiful bouquet, or those romantic photos..

...but i also adore her hair.

to me it has that simple, laid back, fun, romantic thing going on..

i might just take this picture in as inspiration.

totally, totally diggin' in.

Have your cake..

...and eat it too.
unless it looks way too cute on it's stand.
which ours just might.
while in rapid city, sd last weekend mom and i made a quick trick to hobby lobby.
i'm so glad we did. we found lots of fun treasures.
including these beauties.
i had originally wanted to do a plain tree stump under our cakes, but after thinking it through, the time we would have had to spend leveling it, and dissinfecting it, etc...would have added up.
so, when we saw these it was too good to be true. we just want a simple cake, and will use both of them. the small oval one will be just off center to the double tiered stand.
best thing about them--the price. originally they would have cost us $150, but we got them for $28.00 for both. I can't wait to see them in action, as the rustic, branchy look will fit our theme so perfectly!

Love it.

Nothing, nothing in the world {except nights with jace}, beats a night at home with my family. Especially when we are all curled up watching a movie. I love those nights.

Brade loving his popcorn.

McCahen--not the biggest picture fan.
I'm back in my hometown doing some big wedding projects. I can tell there will be lots of trips back and forth these next two months!! Oh well, it's wonderful getting to see family!
Hope you are all enjoying this holiday weekend, have a Happy 4th!
